OPEN CALL: Consulting services for mentoring young leaders with new ideas for promotion of the European values for the future of Southeast Europe

Posted on April 2024

Youth Alliance opens call for expressions of interest from suppliers of consulting services for mentoring young leaders within the project "European values for the future of the countries of South-Eastern Europe".

The activities of the project are ongoing (they will end by 31.12.2024), and the mentoring will last for a maximum period of 6 months according to the prepared description of the responsibilities and the time frame, which will be determined as soon as possible, for approximately 18 young leaders from Western Balkans (approximately 3 from the following countries: Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and North Macedonia)

The mentorship program should have 3 final projects that will be presented during the 22nd International Youth Conference 'European Values for the Future of Southeast Europe' and it will cover the following 4 phases and the following time frame:

1      1. MENTORING RELATIONSHIP [April 2024]

Participants and mentors are matched based on the needs of the participants and the strengths of the mentor

2.       2. PROJECT PLAN DEVELOPMENT [May – July 2024]

Participants join an exclusively curated learning journey designed to address their main needs and challenges

3.       3. ONLINE PITCH PRESENTATION  [September, 2024]

Participants have the opportunity to enhance their storytelling and presentation skills by presenting their pitch to an online panel of real donors

4.       4. IYC ALUMNI [October 2024]

Participants who complete all mandatory assignments receive a certificate of finalization of the mentoring program and join our exclusive network

The purpose of the mentorship program is to provide foresight for the young leaders in the development of their ideas to final and actually implemented projects in the capacity building process. They are constantly advised and will need to compare predicted dynamics, providing information and advice on specific issues related to specific project ideas and actions. The Youth Union team will be on the list of mentors for the duration of the program.

Individuals with experience in the main topic of the project 'European values for the future of South-Eastern Europe' can participate in the call, which will demonstrate the portfolio of related activities so far, as part of their CVs.

Candidates should have more than three years of work experience in the subject areas for which they will be applying. Additionally, experience in the field of working with young people will be considered an advantage. Each offer should include the CVs of the intended mentors, and which areas you are willing to cover.

The deadline for submitting the offer is April 15, 2024 at 3 p.m., exclusively by e-mail at the address info@youthalliance.org.mk.

Only a short circle of selected potential mentor candidates will be connected individually, for more detailed information about mentoring program. All additional information and consultations can be addressed to the program coordinator Stojcheska Biljana, via e-mail (biljana@youthalliance.org.mk), or telephone 078 305 251.

The project is supported within the framework of the regional project 'Support from the EU for building trust in the Western Balkans' financed by the EU and implemented by UNDP.
