Call for participants for trust building and mediation workshop

Youth Alliance Krushevo (YAK) Center for Balkan Cooperation - Loja and Youth Educational Forum (MOF), within the framework of the European Youth Project supported by the European Union, announces a call for participants in a workshop on building trust and mediation for high school students from: Skopje, Tetovo, Krusevo, Kumanovo, Veles, Bitola, Struga and Negotino. The workshop will be three days long and will take place from 1 of March till 3 of March (Saturday - Sunday) in Krushevo.

Participants will go through topics such as: teamwork and building trust, leadership and decision making in groups; and will be offered techniques for conflict transformation, communication and mediation, based on specific examples that cover topics such as stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination.

Candidates for participation in the workshops should meet the following criteria :

• Young people at the age of 14 to 18;

• To show interest and understanding about the topics of the workshop;

• To show interest for involvement in future actions after the workshop;

• Being able to participate on the three days of the workshop in the scheduled term.

The number of participants is limited. Participation in the workshop is free - accommodation, transport and food. The workshop will be realized by experienced trainers from Loja, MOF and YAK. The working language will be Macedonian and Albanian, and a consecutive translation will be provided. The workshop will have room for 20 participants. The selection of candidates will take into account the ethnic and gender balance of the groups as well as the geographical representation.

Upon completion of the workshops, the participants will have the opportunity to form teams and apply with a draft project for actions through which they will implement the newly-acquired skills, techniques and knowledge. The best proposal concept will be rewarded so that it can be realized by December 2018 with the mentorship of experienced professionals from MOF, LOJA and YAK.

With the organization of these workshops, the "Youth Expression Project" aims to make youth leaders in promoting freedom of expression, human rights, integration and creators of change for a free and responsible inclusive society. The workshops were implemented by the Youth Educational Forum, Center for Balkan Cooperation - Loja and Youth Alliance - Krusevo, and financially supported by the European Union within the IPA Civil Society and Media Program 2016-2017.
