Main Aim: Stronger Voices for Better Choices – Youth Hub for WB&T aims to
strengthen democratic participation, civic engagement and regional cooperation
among young people and civil society organizations in the Western Balkans and
Türkiye by creating opportunities for dialogue, advocacy, evidence-based
policymaking and youth-led democratic action.
Project Logic
IF young people and civil society organizations across the Western
Balkans and Türkiye are empowered with knowledge, participation mechanisms,
research-based evidence, regional cooperation opportunities and direct
engagement with decision-makers, AND IF youth voices are systematically
included in democratic and policy processes, THEN young people can become
active contributors to democratic transformation, reconciliation and EU-related
reforms, resulting in stronger civic participation, resilient democratic
societies and sustainable regional cooperation across the WB&T region.
Key Achievements
Youth participation and democratic engagement:
The project creates regional opportunities for young people to actively
participate in democratic dialogue, advocacy initiatives, public consultations
and civic actions connected to youth participation, governance and EU
integration processes.
Strengthening civil society organizations:
Grassroots CSOs and youth organizations receive technical, financial and
capacity-building support to strengthen their role in democratic participation,
community mobilization and policy advocacy.
Regional cooperation and networking:
The initiative strengthens cross-border cooperation among youth
organizations, civic actors, researchers and institutions from the Western
Balkans and Türkiye, creating sustainable partnerships and regional
collaboration mechanisms.
Research and evidence-based policymaking:
Development and publication of the Youth Participation Index (YPI)
contributes to regional evidence and comparative insights on youth
participation, democratic engagement and policy development trends.
Advocacy and policy dialogue:
The project supports regional advocacy campaigns, policy discussions and
public dialogue processes connecting youth, CSOs and decision-makers around
democratic reforms and youth-related policies.
Awareness raising and public outreach:
Implementation of public awareness campaigns and communication activities
increases visibility of youth participation issues and encourages stronger
involvement of young people in democratic processes.
Promotion of youth-led initiatives:
The project encourages youth-led democratic initiatives, civic innovation
and local actions that strengthen participation, inclusion and regional
solidarity.
