This training course “Theater for open Dialogue” involved 5 partners from non EU and 5 partners from EU countries. The activity took place in Vranje, Serbia from 7th till 15th of September 2012. The target audience of this training were youth workers and the base of the training course was Forum Theater. Forum Theatre is a technique that can be used to discuss various issues and in this training we were focused on the cultural differences and similarities as well as the conflict that arises due to ignorance of behaving matrix characteristic of the participants in communication.
Main project objective:
The main aim of this training is to introduce youth workers to a new, creative and innovative technique - Forum Theatre. The goal of this training is to get through the process of creating a theater performance and to learn how to use it in the education of the youth in the community.
Main project activities
The group of participants (youth workers) who are interested in using theatre as a means of communication and who are enthusiastic to use this technique in their organizations later on, learned how to apply theatre and creativity in general in order to enhance intercultural learning in their local communities. Participants attended on daily workshops led by trained professionals with experience in using theater as a tool for social change and analysis.
