The Youth DigiZone – OUR COMMON GROUND project provides a networked approach with synchronized and coordinated efforts that bring together diverse mindsets, experiences, and cultural backgrounds into a cooperative regional digital zone. The current global crisis has highlighted the urgent need for political and development actions to be more responsive, iterative, and resilient in an ever-changing environment.

Despite a history of conflicts and crises, joint action rooted in solidarity, cooperation, and democracy can help strengthen a more resilient and connected region. Young people are particularly vulnerable to the negative impacts of the ongoing polycrisis, facing challenges such as emigration, precarious working conditions, job insecurity, low wages, and limited career prospects.

Building on the conversations and activities of previous initiatives, the project works to strengthen digital youth work culture. The creation of a regional digital hub will facilitate virtual exchanges and co-learning on pressing issues such as gender and youth inclusion, climate change, and digital economies. It also provides a safe and inclusive space for young people from different cultures but shared European identities to voice their lived experiences and shape their common future.
